In 1965, Dave and Diana Wilson met at Indiana University. They married in 1968. Dave graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s of Science-Business Finance degree. He joined the Navy as an officer completing his officer candidate school training in Newport Rhode Island. Diana ( DRE License # 00699447)  graduated from University of West Florida in 1969. The Navy sent them to San Diego were Dave subsequently ended his military service in 1973 and became a sales agent for Anderson-Kuebler Century 21 office in Chula Vista. Dave was promoted to Office manager with in his first year and served in that capacity from 1974-1976. 

Dave invited two other agents to join him in the purchase of the Anderson-Kuebler brokerage and became principle Broker of Record until 1980.

 

With the downturn of the market at this time, his office and several other prominent real estate offices merged with Century 21 Floyd – Boltz. Dave was a general sales manager from 1980-1987. Coldwell Banker then purchased the Floyd-Boltz franchise and Dave became a Broker Associate. 

By 1989 Dave had moved locations and companies and joined Mc Millin Realty. He consistently ranked in the top 5 of 50 sales agents at Mc Millin Realty.

 

DRW Management was officially established by Dave in 1985 after working on an “as needed” basis for about 5 years prior to that.  In 1997 Diana retired as an Escrow officer after 10 years and became the office manager of DRW Management. By 1999 they expanded operations out of their home to a store front at 305 F Street Chula Vista. Dave remained primarily focused on real estate sales while Diana turned to computerized systems developing standardized processes to manage the growing business. By 2002 the company was managing approximately 80 properties with two employees. As the business continued to grow, Dave left Mc Millin Realty to focus on sales and property management through DRW Management.

 

In 2005 the business was incorporated as DRW Services Group, Inc. having a real estate arm, DRW Real Estate Services and a property management arm, DRW Management Services with Diana Wilson, President/CFO and Dave Wilson, Sr. Vice President/Chairman.  

 

Dave and Diana’s youngest son, Brad Wilson (DRE License # 01518757) spent 10 years in construction management following earning his Construction Engineering degree from Arizona State University.  Brad joined DRW Services in 2005 as the Maintenance Coordinator before assuming the position of Vice President of operations in 2006. As the company continued to grow the Wilsons purchased the building at 276 Landis Ave. Chula Vista, CA as the main office and to accommodate the needs of the increased staff and business volume.

 

After Dave’s unexpected passing in 2011, Brad assumed the position of Executive Vice President, enabling a smooth transition. This in turn allowed Diana and Brad to continue the daily operations of the business with the assistance of Broker Dan Brennan originally and current Broker of Record Barbara Hahn. 

 

2015-2018 brought further change with the addition of Dave and Diana’s oldest son Rodd Wilson, as the Vice President/Chief Operating Officer.  Rodd came to DRW Services following a 25 year career in the retail Loss Prevention and Safety most recently with the Department of the Navy. In 2018 Rodd returned to his Navy career.

 

In 2015 the Landis office property was remodeled with updates to reception and office areas. Today DRW Services Group has 7-10 employees, approximately 200 managed properties as well as defined real estate and management divisions.
